10g)6.JACOB HASENPFLUG-Born 16 August 1797. Was baptized 4 February 1798 Died 8 August 1887. He is the 6th child of Johann Heinrich and Anna Maria. Married to Anna Lichty of Union Co., Pa-Born 1798 Died 4 March 1870. Both Jacob and Anna are buried in Brown Cemetery, Maysville, Pa.. After marrying they moved to Centre County, Pa. where Jacob operated a tannery and brewery. In 1834 they moved to the forests of West Salem Twsp., Mercer County where they settled in a hewd log house that Jacob erected. Both were members of the Evangelical Church. Jacob was a Republican. They had 6 known children and they are: Jacob, John Henry, George E., Maria, Elizabeth and Daniel.

11g)1.JACOB HASENPLUG JR.-Born 20 October 1830 Died __________. Married in April 1855 to Mary Ann Bentley-Born _________ Died 7 May 1875. She is the daughter of Jeffrey and Ann (Morford) Bentley. Jacob learned the shoemaker's trade, which he followed in Maysville for 20 years. In the fall of 1862, he was drafted and enlisted in Company D, 169 Regiment of the Penna. Militia, in which he served for 9 months. In the spring of 1882 he began farming. They had 9 children, namely: Elizabeth, Emma, Elmer, Arminta, Ida, Charles, Ella, Sarah and Lorinda.

11g)6.DANIEL HASENPLUG-Born 6 December 1843 in West Salem Twsp., Mercer County, Pa.. Married Sarah J. Maurer-Born c.1836 Died at the age of 102. She is the daughter of John Maurer of Delaware Twsp.. Daniel learned the shoemaker's trade and began business in Pymatuning Twsp. in 1865, but moved to Greenville in the spring of 1884. In January 1887 he opened a boot and shoe store. He served in the 58th Pa. Vol. for 3 months and also in the 199th Pa. Vol. for one and one half years, his regiment being at Appomattox. He was a Republican. Daniel and Sarah had 2 daughters.
