This is what I know about Charles Hassenplugs' second marriage.....Katherine Galla married Charles on May 15,1918 in Maryland in a court house. They then married in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Philadelphia (Manayunk) Pa. on June 3, 1918.(I have copies of both Marriage certificates...one has Katherines name spelled with a "C"). Katherine's mothers' maiden name was Sommers....So that is why the mix-up on two marriages the same year. They did not have a son Hobart that I know of...unless he died as an infant. I do know that Charles was 20 years older than Katherine....and died when the children were all young and at home. The only child surviving is Joseph Haas age 75 (My dad). He now lives in Florence, South Carolina.
